A FINAL DISPATCH FROM THE APPALACHIAN WIND TEMPLE!

For nine years I've been making music in the small towns of Palmerton and Walnutport, Pennsylvania. It is my belief that my environment has shaped my sound, for worse and better.

These 11 tracks are the last of their kind, the final instrumentals recorded in the Keystone State, throughout the final months of 2017 and the earlier half of 2018. As I write this, I am mere weeks away from moving to Chicago with my girlfriend CC Reisz (the very same who appeared on "Here In The Mist" as half of The Akiba Speakasy several years ago). Teletraan-3, my laptop on which my FL Studio installation was based, and which grew into an eccentric tangle of VSTs and samples over the years, has all but given up the ghost, now hanging on by a thread. Thus my music-making is for the moment, halted, to be resumed at some indeterminate time in the future. By usual standards most of these songs are incomplete, but it's no exaggeration to say that there's not much I can do about that now, this is no time for regrets. Included here are the remnants of three seperate albums that were never completed, a second installment in the "Hawaiian Highways" mixtape series, a mixtape titled "Stranded Queer Cozmonaut", and a LORDS OF RAVE record titled "Logomachy".

To be sure, it is a time of great change at Diamondfish, and to that end this mixtape has the first cover I've released since "Pisces" from early 2016 to not feature the distinctive "pisces stamp" somewhere on it, it is also the first to ever feature a picture of me, taken at Carbon County landmark the Hundred Mile View, due to be developed over starting next year, and turned into yet another outpost for those with too much money and too little empathy for nature and their fellow man.

Yet, I will not be here to see it.

Farewell, Pennsylvania.
